The hypocrisy of Obama

So I promised I would post on the election in Ilinois’ 10th district. But something more urgent came up.

Today morning on my television I was watching the “discussion” that Barack Obama had arranged between leaders of the Democratic and Republican parties in order to come to a consensus on health care. One thing that Obama said caught my ear. ( This may be paraphrased). Obama stated that ” I don’t want to just trade talking points. I want this to be a discussion on how to improve our health care policy”. Obama said this with 3-4 cameras on him as well.

Anybody notice the hypocrisy? At the point where Barack Obama INSISTED himself to have cameras at the bipartisan meeting, he cannot possibly say that this isn’t about trading talking points. In fact, this “bipartisan meeting” is being broadcasted on national television, therefore solidifying the fact that Obama is doing this SOLELY to trade talking points and gain favor with the American public. After all, a simple discussion of policy does not get viewers to watch, nor does it net cable networks any money from viewership. If viewers wanted a simple discussion, they could go to C-SPAN. And who the hell watches that?
